DJI has been offering DJI Enterprise Shield since July of 2018 through its network of DJI Enterprise Dealers which is a customizable drone protection service plan which was designed to meet the diverse needs of today's commercial drone operators. Starting today, December 28, 2020, DJI Enterprise Shield will transition to a new name, DJI Care Enterprise.
DJI Care Enterprise vs. DJI Enterprise Shield?
So, what's the difference? There is no difference, DJI Enterprise Shield has just been renamed/rebranded to its new name, DJI Care Enterprise. All service remains exactly the same along with all current service agreements, renewals, coverages, etc. You'll just see this new name on all Advexure and DJI correspondence regarding DJI Care Enterprise.
Why the new name?
That's a good question. From what our team at Advexure is aware of, this change is simply for DJI to better promote and allow for an easier understanding of what Care Enterprise provides. Many DJI users are already familiar with DJI Care Refresh from DJI's consumer products, so keeping the name under the same umbrella and differentiating it by simply adding "Enterprise" makes sense. This allows for users and dealers alike to simply be able to refer to Care Enterprise plans as Care and not confuse users with a whole different name which was often the case with "DJI Enterprise Shield".
